Live Simulation

Tactical simulator MILES 2000 is a device based on laser technology, where the laser is used to simulate fire and its consequences. Simulation of shooting is performed by initiating laser beam whilst shooting a training ammunition (SMG, MG, sniper rifle) or electrically triggered weapons (BMP gun, RPG-7), which presents a twinkle. Simulation of action by artillery, aviation, minefields is performed virtually through the system and with agreed manner by marking in the field. Result of fire, the action of artillery, aviation or minefields after hitting are presented through audio-speaker and text-display of control unit to affected player (vehicle). Signals, their significance and follow-up are determined by the rules of each exercise.

Each player movement, the result of his activities and his status is constantly monitored at Exercise Director´s place on the map overlays, which also includes decisions of commanders in graphical form and creates conditions to compare actual activities with planned activities. Exercise Director has a constant overview about position or movement of troops and losses. This information is continuously recorded along with other useful background material for further use in the evaluation unit.

Integral part of tactical training exercises are observers-controllers, who are competent (on the basis of knowledge of doctrine, SOPs, current situation, etc.) to professionally and impartially evaluate the activity carried out and to recommend ways to improve. Analysis of actions is conducted continuously (informal AAR) and at the end of exercise (formal AAR).

Records from the system, scores, combat documentation, sound and image recordings, statistics, etc. are at the end of the exercise collected and hand-over to training unit in an electronic medium for further use.
