A cabal in leadership positions in the Special Operations Forces

      On 6 September 2024, a change of command ceremony took place at the 5th Special Forces Regiment. A ceremonial change of command of the Commanding NCO's of the Special Forces Command, the 5th Special Forces Regiment and the 51st Training Base took place.
      Staff Sergeant Major Peter Cibrín took over from Staff Sergeant Major Imrich Fekete as the Commanding NCO of Special Operations Forces (SOF). Imrich Fekete became the new Chief NCO of the Slovak Armed Forces.
      At the training base, Staff Sergeant Major Peter Cibrín handed over the position of 51st Training Base Commanding NCO to Staff Sergeant Major Martin Halko.
      The new Commanding NCO of the 5th Special Forces Regiment is Staff Sergeant Major Ján Munka, who replaces retiring Staff Sergeant Major Roman Kostúrik.
